Whats Supplied
Aussie Fish Estuary Adventures supplies all rods/reels, soft-plastic lures, hard-bodied lures, blades, vibes and terminal tackle whilst fishing with us. You are more than welcome to bring a selection of your own lures if you desire. A 'Pay as you Lose' system will be in place for more expensive hard-bodie/blades/surface lures if lost. We only use the highest quality Shimano reels (mainly Twinpower 1000's and Sustain 2500's) with a range of quality appointed Ian Miller designed rods which include Steve Starlings Tournament Pro Starlo Stixs in 7'0 and 7'3 one piece rods. With braid we use Berkley Stren microfuse in 3 and 4lb for bream/estuary perch/whiting plus Berkley Fireline in 6 and 10lb for our heavier big flathead and Mulloway outfits.
A huge range of soft-plastics is also available which include: Squidgie, Squidgie PRO Range, Berkley, Juro the list goes on. A full range of jigheads will complement the plastics nicely with weights from 1/2 gram to 28 gram. We have a massive range of hard-bodied lures which include Ecogear, Bushy's Stiffys, Bassday, Atomic, CRANKA, Zipbaits, Luckycraft to just name a few. This huge range is needed as each lure has it's own characteristic which will enable us to catch more fish. Some days we need to fish with suspending lures, other days deep divers and quite often floaters. When targeting bream and whiting on surface lures we may use poppers or walk baits, sometimes fizzers so the opportunities are endless. With blades and vibes we mainly use Ecogear VX's, Cranka's, Stiffys, Juro and Berkley's MF series but other are used also.
If you have that favorite spin stick you are more than welcome to bring it along. If fishing for bream, whiting or estuary perch, 3 or 4lb braid is adequate. If targeting mulloway or big flathead, 10lb braid is the minimum requirement. Please ensure if you decide to bring your own outfit, it must be spooled with some type of braid or gelspun. This is extremely important especially when using soft-plastics. Braid has little or no stretch, so bite detection is instant and hook-up ratios a lot better. If fly-fishing, rods and fly reels of your own will be required as these are not supplied by AFEA.
We also provide a Canon 10.1 mega pixel digital camera onboard. This will ensure your captures are living proof of your day out with us. We can email these photos to you at no extra charge, or send you a disk to your home address, no dramas.
