Whats Supplied

Soft plasticsAussie Fish Estuary Adventures supplies all rods/reels, soft-plastic lures, flies, hard-bodied lures and terminal tackle whilst fishing with us. Shimano reels are used exclusively and fitted with quality appointed ‘Ian Miller’ Rack raider rods and Starlo Stixs. Braid or gelspun is used on all outfits with 4, 6, 10 or 14lb fluro green fireline used predominately.

A huge range of soft-plastics is also available on board. Brands used include: Squidgie, Berkley, Atomic, Ecogear, Storm, Juro Firebaits and Pelagics, and the list goes on. A full range of jigheads is also available, with weights ranging from. 1/2 gram to 28 gram. Hook sizes vary depending on what species we are after and lure selection.

If you have forgotten your polarized sunnies, don’t worry; spare pairs of Maui Jim sunnies are ready and waiting for you.

If you have that favorite spin stick or baitcaster, you are more than welcome to bring it along. If fishing for bream, bass or perch, 4 or 6lb braid is adequate. If targeting jewies or big flathead, 10lb braid is the minimum requirement. Please ensure if you decide to bring your own outfit, it must be spooled with some type of braid or gelspun. This is extremely important especially when using soft-plastics. Braid has little or no stretch, so bite detection is instant and hook-up ratios a lot better. If fly-fishing, rods and fly reels of your own will be required as these are not supplied by AFEA.

We also provide a Canon 10.1 mega pixel digital camera onboard. This will ensure your captures are living proof of your day out with us. We can email these photos to you at no extra charge, or send you a disk to your home address, no dramas. So if your camera is left at home, don’t worry, we have the bases covered for you!
